Climbing at Lumpy Ridge

Hi. I need a partner for a climb in Lumpy Ridge on Saturday. I was thinking to do Osiris 5.7. I've got all the gear, all you need are shoes and harness. We would leave Boulder around 6:00 am to be there by 8:00am. If you are up for it let me know.

So not to hijack this thread or anything... But if anybody else wants to do something in the .7 to .8 range, any number of pitches, Saturday later in the day or Sunday, let me know. I've got the gear. All I ask is for a partner that can belay and (preferably) has some alpine-ish experience!

Oh--and a headlamp and rain jacket if we go later in the afternoon on Saturday.

I'm in Boulder, so meeting there would be a bonus.

I just moved to Boulder, and I'm looking to get more experience trad climbing outside. I can lead belay, but my trad experience is rather limited (I've done one easy trad climb so far). I'd really love to get the chance to climb with someone and learn, but I'm guessing you're looking for someone with a bit more experience?

For the climbs we're talking about, your experience level is perfect! We can do Osiris, White Whale, or plenty of other classic moderates out there. If you want to get some good grunting practice, there is the Great Dihedral as well. The description sounds like it is full of suffering! Let me know if you're interested in tomorrow.

Let me know what's up...Climbing in the afternoon at Lumpy is not in the cards for me, too many close strikes. Early is good, Sunday works fine too. Fehim, if you dont mind me asking, what is your comfort level leading? climbed at Lumpy before? Thanks! Hope to see some of you this weekend....

The route I would like to do is Osiris 5.7. It's a 5 pitch long, located on The Book. Approach is almost an hour, so I don't think you'd be able to get back to Boulder by 3pm. If you need a partner to climb with I'll be available after 4th of July weekend. Lumpy or Eldo, both sound good to me

Let's hook up after the 4th. Climb hard!

I'd be up for some easy leading or mod following. Been working a ton lately, so have not been climbing since March. 6am is a good time to depart as severe weather hits wout warning at Lumpy and retreating is difficult

The route I was thinking of is 5 pitches long so early start would be preferred. Also, we can climb in a group of three, max, or if there is four of us it would have to be two groups.

Crumby. I really want to get out to Lumpy, but I can't this Saturday. If you feel like getting back up there any weekend in August, I would happily swap leads on anything up to 5.9.

First weekend in August would work for me

I'm game, I've never done multi-pitches trad though.

I'd be down for something at Lumpy, however, I have to work for the better part of Saturday... possibly the whole morning. Would the afternoon work? How 'bout Sunday?
