New Meetup: Afternoon - Evening in Clear Creek Canyon

From: Chris A.
Sent on: Monday, July 12, 2010 11:00 AM
Announcing a new Meetup for Rock and Soul Climbers!

(Sorry there was a problem with the date for this meetup, the real date is JULY 14, I had to post this meetup again)

What: Afternoon - Evening in Clear Creek Canyon

When: Wednesday, July 14,[masked]:00 PM

Where: Clear Creek Canyon
Little Eiger Crag
Golden, CO 80401

Join me for an afternoon and evening of climbing in Clear Creek Canyon.

CRAG:
Little Eiger

WHERE TO MEET:
Arriving between 12 and 12:30?:
Lets meet at the lower parking lot at the entrance of the canyon. I'll be there from 12-12:30 to greet and arrange for carpools. I will be in a black Toyota Tacoma with roof racks and an A.R.E. cap.

Arriving after 12:30?
Try to arrange a carpool from the lower parking lot at the entrance of the canyon. If not, go 4.4 miles up Clear Creek Canyon and park in the pullout on the up side of the bridge.

LOCATION OF CRAG:
Parking is on the upside of the bridge, 4.4 miles up Clear Creek Canyon. Crag is on the South side of the canyon, only a few minutes walk up a trail directly across from the parking pullout.

NOTE: Parking is limited up at the pull out so I suggest parking at the parking lot at the entrance of the canyon and carpooling (I'm serious, parking is limited at the Little Eiger pullout)

BETA:
Should be open season on routes in the afternoon but this crag tends to get crowded as people get off work. I will bring at least two ropes and can set most routes on this wall. If you have a rope and quick draws please bring them.

If you are experienced with lead belaying or can lead yourself please send me a note letting me know your skill level and experience.

Look forward to seeing you there.

Chris Anthony
