If anyone wants to do a fourth edition, I am ready to go with figures, books, maps, etc.  I think I have at least 3 players ready too.  They are new to 4.0 but good gamers.

Who’s Turn is it Games? is pretty darn cool now that they annexed some next door space that’s currently ALL game play space.  Plus they have space in the main part too.  I go there every Monday.  Dragon’s Lair is great too, but I’m a southlander, though not so far south that I don’t get to Dragon’s Lair on occasion.

Sincerely,

George Schmidt

Karlen, you do live WAY south, but that's neither here nor there.

:-D

But he does make a good point. It is on the north side of town (not that I'm complaining about that), though they have been awesome to us so far.

I can say that Whose Turn? is pretty inviting as well, though I haven't been there since they expanded.

That's what's considered Central?  Wow, I live waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay south then.

Playing at a home is best, but the new Dragon's Lair is the best hobby store I have ever seen and it is Central.

As someone who has worked at ihop I can tell you it is usually not polite to play there.

Whose turn is it? Games is accessible and friendly. They want to host games and be available to the community (restaurants want turnover and low labor cost).

Hello,

Matt here.  I run a few games up near Cedar Park.  I could probably do a show up thing, not sure where, depends on where it is or not. :)  I'd suggest something both public and noisy enough that talking isn't going to cause problems, but quiet enough you can actually hear. :)  When I lived in St. Louis, we did such things at the local gaming store, if it had room (one did, but was often busy).  When not there, Dave & Busters if it was a big group, or Denny's/IHOP if it was a small group (6 to 8 people).

Hey guys/gals:

My name's Justin and I've taken over the Austin RPG meetup. I'd like to get a monthly meeting going and I'm in the works of getting something setup to have a non-gaming gamers meetup to talk about game systems, news, rumors, etc.

This is an open discussion email, so input is requested. Feel free to shoot me a private email or reply to this email to participate in this meetup member conversation.

Happy Gaming!

Thank You,
Justin Beaudry
