I could be convinced as well, depending on when and where.

For anyone interested, beginning this Thursday, 5/11, I will be holding a Dark Ages Vampire (oWoD) chronicle that will hopefully wind its way to the modern nights. It'll be at the new Dragon's Lair location on Burnett and Anderson, from 7-11(ish) pm. This first week we'll be talking character creation and whatnot.

That seems like something I'd enjoy quite a bit. I've never played WoD, but if you've got room for one more player I'd certainly be interested.

Anyone interested in a world of darkness game? Something gritty, melidramatic, with distant unknown supernatural elements. Maybe a detective mystery game that deals in the occult. Less Dresden more x-files.

I could set up a game in north or south austin during the week.

I was not aware of that.  That's a little more north.

Just making sure you know Dragon's Lair moved to Anderson between Mopac and Burnet.

Yeah, that is right there in central Austin...  Should be easier for people from N. Austin, PVille, RR, Cedar Park, Leander, Georgetown, Hutto, etc...  without being too far either for people from S. Austin, Kyle, Buda, etc...

As far as the digital tabletop thing goes, that is pretty interesting.  I'd certainly be interested in hearing more about what you are working on.

Okay. Well what about Dragons Lair or something in that area? No problem, this is an open forum.

Anyone who does software development, I'm working on a digital tabletop environment, but something very encompassing and grandiose, much more than what sites like http://roll20.net are doing.

Thank You,

Travel across town is going to be an issue for a lot of us.  Maybe something more central, like between the river and 51st?  That would be more evenly split between N. and S.

FWIW, I'm in the PVille area...  I used to work for a game company, although I worked on the backend billing/support/game master tools part of it, not on the actual game engine or gameplay.  I'd be interested in hearing about game software development provided the platform was right - Linux, MacOSX/iOS or Android preferred.  I don't do Windows or XBox.  I'd consider other consoles but I don't have the hardware except an old Wii.

Lamar is a long drive from round rock or I would be interested.

Sorry it's taken me so long to respond. If anyone wants to find players for a game, setup a meetup on meetup.com/roleplayers-413/, don't respond to this email, use meetups' interface, that's what it's for.

To respond to anyone who's interested in a general gaming meetup discussion. I'm looking to find people interested in gaming, game design, game development (programming:  C, C#, C++, Javascript, Python, etc.) for a monthly discussion about new game systems, game system ideas, what's in store for the future, etc. I'm going to sponsor the meetup with redbull and pelegrino. As far as location is concerned, I'm thinking Who's Turn is It? Games on South Lamar. I encourage anyone to come out and let's not divide this into a north/south type meetup, it would be more exciting and more fulfilling if everyone interested came.

Thoughts? Ideas?
