The Campaign for Liberty: Pittsburgh Message Board › Ron Paul Meetup consolidation - IMPORTANT PLEASE READ
Closed to new replies
As discussed at our meeting last week, we will be consolidating all of the Ron Paul groups into one to facilitate and ease management. More than likely, the Meetup group you are reading this at will be deactivated or CLOSED. So NOW, please join the single consolidated group at...
Below are suggested Goals/Purpose for the group. It is also suggested to temporarily rename this group...
Ron Paul for President 2012 - Greater Pittsburgh - Restore America Now
After you join the consolidated group, please read & comment at this link...
Our groups' first goal is to...
1) Help get Ron Paul as the Republican nominee to run for president.
If we're successful in this first goal, or if we're not but Ron Paul runs as an independent or in a 3rd party in November, our second goal is to...
2) Help Ron Paul win the presidency.
We will be concentrating on helping in areas most effective for Ron Paul to win and addressing only issues which Ron Paul & his campaign addressed. Any other issue should be avoided as it may differ with Ron Paul & his campaign and would cause disunity within the local campaign.
To satisfy our first goal, we will locally network with people and groups associated with typical Republican issues and geographically Republican areas. Groups with typical Republican issues are those such as progun, prolife, religious/faith, fiscal responsibility, private free-enterprise & private charity solutions to health care and helping the poor, and constitutional groups. Geographically Republican areas will be visited for petitioning. For encounters with non-Republicans, members should have voter registration forms to have others register as a Republican.
If and when Ron Paul moves to satisfy the second goal, we will be reaching out to many other groups and parties outside those concentrated on in the first goal to gather the cross-over votes necessary for Ron Paul to win the presidency.
After campaigning, this group will resort to a non-campaign mode, mostly educational. It could resort back to "Campaign for Liberty", or "Restore America Now", or something else to promote the always necessary need for education on constitutional matters. The political campaign engine may be charged up again if another good liberty candidate, such as Rand Paul, runs for the presidency.
