Subject: [ronpaul-264] Central Committee update!

Dear patriots,

I just wanted to give you guys a quick update that we now have 8-9 liberty candidates running for the SB county central committee!  We are approaching a critical mass, and can still possibly take over the committee as Ron Paul Republicans!  If anyone out there is still interested in running, there are two ways you can get nominated to the committee.  The first way is the traditional approach, which is to pull papers from the county registrar's office and get 20 valid Republican signatures from your district (the deadline is this Friday, March 9th so you will have to act fast!).  I can assist anyone with this if they need help.  The second way is to be appointed by an existing member to fill in a vacancy.  Last election cycle, only a handful of people actually turned in nomination forms and were elected by default.  Then this group of people appointed others to fill in the majority of vacancies.  Thus, you can still get nominated to a seat this way if you happen to miss the deadline to turn in papers.  Also, current members can nominate alternates, which is a way to ease into the committee without having to commit.  If anyone is wants to pursue this, I'd highly encourage you to attend our central committee meetings once a month, that way the group gets familiar with you and then we can appoint you to a seat or as an alternate

The current term still goes to the end of this year, and the next one doesn't start until Jan, 2013!  In addition, there are still many vacant seats that can be filled for this current term.  If you are interested in getting involved or just want to check it out, I'd recommend coming to our next meeting this Saturday, March 10th.  Although we normally meet the 3rd Wed of the month at Pea Soup Andersens in Buelton, this is going to be a special meeting where we might endorse a Congressional candidate, and it will be held at the County Administration Building in downtown SB from 2-5 PM (more details here: ).

For you information, here are the current liberty candidates we have running:

1st district (4 seats)

Jerry Matteo

Debbie Thompson

Brandon Morse

2nd district (5 seats)

Doug Mackenzie

Cev Uruk

Stephen Pratt

3rd district (5 seats)

Kevin Walsh

4th/5th districts (7 seats)

Dave Stockdale

Miguel Cadena?

This has been a great effort so far.  Hopefully everyone on the list above can complete their papers so that the next election cycle we'll have quite an improved committee, with many more liberty minded individuals!
