I think on two levels.  One is day to day bandaid politics - It's healthy to resist evil.  Even if in vain.  The other is the long view.  The most concise estimate of that view I've found is in American Globalism by Ken Klein.  You're not coming off as a crazy, but as a realist.  I don't even use the term C.T.  It's a meme perpetuated to psychologically disarm the people.  Conspiracies happen all the time at all levels of society.  They're as common as dirt.  Theory?  That's a hypothesis validated by observable facts.  Again, no shame there.  Stand your ground!  No apologies.
