Breadline Street Theater

At the NYCCFL general meeting tonight it was decided an effective piece of street theater for us to put on would be a "breadline" next to the ticket lines in Grand Central Terminal.

Per our discussion, these are the specific details:

-We will have at least 20-25 people dressed in ragged clothing waiting in a line to receive small bits of bread from one of us dressed as Bernanke or some other government official.

-At least 5 people handing out informative "next step" literature that engages people and leads them to places on the web where they can learn more.

-At least 3-5 "mavens" engaging people and discussing how government intervention exacerbated the stock crash of 1929 into the Great Depression and created the ensuing bread lines.

People are losing their savings, their fixed incomes, their homes, their bank deposits and their jobs. EVERYONE is paying attention to the economic problems we are all experiencing, including the media, which is why we are going to send out press releases in an effort to get exposure.

We will also be taping it, posting it on Youtube and sending it to the National Campaign for Liberty and Lew Rockwell. If you have any ideas, please share them!

In liberty,
Drew

If we can get enough people to pull this off I've got someone who will take professional photos of the event for us.

Antonio...define enough.. If it's 20, I'll see what I can do to get a few more people to come.

It looks like we'll have enough! Between the rsvps here and on facebook we should have well over 20 people... but the more the better. Everyone bring a friend. I'll be bringing my little ones.

    WOW!
I find I am having trouble with unfamiliar photoeditors, so I will have to wait until I get to home and Photoshop.
