Introduction

I have travelled on just about every Amtrak route over the past 10 years. In 1996 I started TrainWeb.com as a web site to post my photos & travelogues, but it has grown far beyond that with the help of many others.

When was your most recent train trip and where did you go?

Traveled from Fullerton to La Plata, Missouri, on the Amtrak Southwest Chief. I've made this trips many times and suspect I will be making it many more times since my home is in California and the main office of TrainWeb.com is now in La Plata, MO!

When and how did you first get interested in train travel?

In 1995 from a radio ad. I took the Coast Starlight from Seattle to L.A. and have been riding ever since!

Of the train trips you have taken, which was your favorite?

The Amtrak Coast Starlight from L.A. to Seattle because of the scenery and the Pacific Parlour Car.
