When was your most recent train trip and where did you go?

Santa Barbara from Irvine station on February 24, 2007 for the day. On this day we spent a total of 8 hours on the rails. It was a beautiful day in Santa Barbara (after a rain) we could even see the channel islands.

When and how did you first get interested in train travel?

I fell inlove with train travel after taking my first "real" train ride on May 15, 2005 after taking the Amtrak Coast Starlight from LA Union Station to Oxnard. (NOTE: I've always liked train rides while at Disneyland and other parks. Love real trains!

Of the train trips you have taken, which was your favorite?

The trip from Fullerton to La Plata, MO in August 2007 was a fantastic train trip. The Coast Starlight trip from Seattle to LAX was also a memorable rail trip. For a short one-day vintage train excursion, the trip from Campo, USA to Tecate is great.
