What web development exerpience do you have?
Plenty with ASP.NET and ASP.NET MVC. Used PHP and Python (Google App Engine) in the old days. Also using some Node.js-based stuff lately (e.g. Express, Socket.IO, etc.), which is awesome fun for me as a JavaScript enthusiast.
What do you want to build?
Nothing in particular, I just want to get more familiar with Ruby and Rails.

Hi James -- thanks for joining the Meteor Minneapolis group! We're going to have a our kickoff drinkup on February 4th at the Republic bar in the seven corners area in Minneapolis.
