In the comments rating last night's event, one person complained that it was crowded, and that made it difficult to follow the presentation from across the room. Given how successful last night's event was in spite of the fact that elbow room was at a premium, the group could become even bigger in the future. Thus, it may be time to consider alternate venues.

The most obvious alternative is Refactr, which hosts the more advanced RoR group, the JavaScript group, the Clojure group, the Groovy group, and several others. Of course, its popularity may mean that it's booked up most evenings.

Other possibilities include UMN, UST, and other local colleges. Of course, having to pay for parking is a drawback (but worth it for a great group like this one if a larger venue can't be found elsewhere).

Some of the venues used by other groups listed at tech.mn are possibilities. That said, not all of them can handle a big group like this one. (For example, I wouldn't recommend Code 42, as the conference area for AUG and Mobile Twin Cities isn't any larger than the room we used last night.) Also, not all of these venues have enough desks/tables for everyone's laptops.
