Flowpath - OpenSource JavaScript Coolness with Conrad Benham

Mom and Dad are always on you about giving it a shot.  Your doctors says it's good for your health.  Your friends are bragging about what a crazy/wasted time they had with it last weekend.  You guessed it - Javascript.  All the coolest kids are Ember/Angular/Backbone-ing their way through the world these days, and if you're like me, you might be feeling a little left behind...

Come out to the next RubyBlind, where Conrad Benham, Technical Lead at Cyrus, JavaScript instructor at General Assembly, founder of Agile Hong Kong and Polyglot Programmer will introduce you to the Open Source JavaScript Algorithms library, Flowpath, that he's been working on. Conrad will show you the problems Flowpath attempts to solve, including some awesome implementations of Ruby enumerable methods in JavaScript.  We'll also look at the tools employed in making Flowpath a robust platform agnostic, JavaScript runtime, including the continuous integration server, testing tools and documentation tools used to make it a solid open source software library.

I was lucky enough to get a personal demo/code review of the library at a Cyrus function a few months ago and can tell you that if you have even a marginal understanding of JS you'll benefit from Conrad's knowledge, clarity, and extremely pleasing Australian accent.  See you there!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
