First Hacker Hours and Git Basics!

It's been awesome to see our membership skyrocket in the first few days, and a good motivator to get the first Ruby Blind meetup scheduled.  As such, we'll be gathering on Wednesday, Sept. 5th for a night of hacking and getting to know one another.  Bring your Ruby/Rails/HTML5 projects, bring a laptop, bring your questions, and bring an appetite because there'll be pizza and beer!

As promised, the format of the event will be pretty unstructured, but I was hoping to lead a quick tutorial on git/github basics for those that are interested.  This may be old hat for some of you, but I know that in starting out I found git to be a less-than-intuitive but essential tool. If you're totally new to git, you may want to check out this tutorial beforehand.  Otherwise there'll be plenty of space to hack away on whatever you're working on.

I'd love to accommodate everyone but until I can find another space we're going to have to cap attendance at 25, so RSVP quick and grab a spot!

So i'm number 27, does that mean I can't come? Usually people fail to show up after they've rsvp'd. How will people on the waiting list know?

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
