Meet and greet fellow Rubyists over dinner and drinks in the world's most livable city, Melbourne, Australia. Please Note: Since our events are oversubscribed but often underattended and to do some good for the less fortunate, we are charging a charging a nominal fee of $5.50 per person, per event. If the event is full, please put your name of the waiting list and check back at a later date to see if more spots have become available. All proceeds will be donated to Christ Church Mission Inc in St Kilda (ABN 48 967 756 651) (CHRIST CHURCH MISSION INC is endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) from 01 Jul 2000. It is covered by Item 1 of the table in section 30-15 of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997.) Please Note: Melbourne Ruby reserves the right to postpone the event for any reason.

Hey Paul, just wondering why you keep changing the date. I paid when it was meant to be a couple of weeks ago, then it changed to today, and now its changed to April 5th a couple hours before event was meant to take place? Some communication would be great when changes occur.

  Hi Beren, My apologies for the change. As mentioned above, we sent an email at 6:48 am this morning informing you of the change. Are you saying you did not receive it until 3 pm or so? I received mine at 6:48 am indicating to me that everyone did also. If you'd like a refund, please let me know. Thank you Beren, All the very best!

This is highly unprofessional to change the meetup date just a few hours before the event. What's even more surprising is that no one cared to inform the attendees.

  I do apologise for the date change. An email was sent before 7 am this morning, at 6:48 to be exact. I've received the email and so have other attendees. Regardless, a refund will be given. The less fortune members of the community will be the ones missing out and partly I guess that's my fault. Anyway, thank you for your time and again I do apologise. All the very best, Gaurav.
