What would you like to learn from joining this group?

I'd like to learn what other folks are doing with Ruby and associated tools, and also learn some new ways to get the most out of Ruby, Rails and Linux. Most of all, I want to improve my programming practice and write code I can be more proud of.

What are your main reasons for joining this group? Business or pleasure?

Elements of both - partly professional development, partly just because learning is fun.
