10-mile Trail Run in Redwood Regional (Southern Edition)

Looking for something not too early or too long?  How about 10 miles of mostly singletrack goodness in the southern part of Redwood Regional Park?  Though I would't call it easy for most, it's not epic either.  You can actually have the afternoon for other things if you want ;)

Highlights: A 10-mile loop of luscious terrain, mostly soft dirt surfaces (okay, a few roots here and there, and maybe a bit of mud depending on recent rainfall).  Some nice vistas, tall redwoods, oaks and bay trees.

Req'd: Experience with running 10 miles on hilly trails and ability to read trail maps, plenty of positive attitude, and calories/water if you'll need them. There is a drinking fountain about halfway through (see map). About 1500' of gain.

    Hi, love to join you guys for this trail but since i did 8 miles last week and my legs were too painful the day after i would like to know if there is anyway to go back to the base when one feels like it and not complete the 10 miles?

      Yes, several options, i can highlight them on the map depending on your target mileage; but most options will still have 1,000-1,500' of gain. Or email me if you want info in advance.

    Hi Drew. This looks right up my alley with my recovery. Which is going well! I ran 8.5 mi yesterday and plan to do it again today. :) . . . But alas, I have plans this Sat. Hopefully I will be able to make the next one. Plus it will give me one more week to build on.
