Here is a great trail ultra marathon. This is a 50K and a 50miler. Space is limited, so register early. If you go to the site, they give you a detailed map of the course with elevation. http://www.badgerlandstriders.org/GT50/index.html
I hope many of you will be able to join me on this adventure through the scenic Kettle Moraine State Forest.
Sunday October 11, 2009
Fire Station/Community Hall (Sugarbush Dr. & HWY23), Greenbush, WI
The Glacial Trail Run takes place in the northern unit of the Wisconsin Kettle Moraine State Forest.? The trails consist of rolling hills with some rocks and other normal trail obstacles.? There are no sentries on the course and runners will need to cross several roads. Trail intersections will be marked with ground arrows. The course is out and back for both races. There will be a short section of road at the start to get to the trail.
It will be dark for the first few miles (about 40 minutes) of the 50 mile race, so those runners will need a flashlight/headlamp.? There will be a drop box at the first AS to leave your light, or any other gear you might want to leave there.
Stocked with electrolyte replacement drink, water and various foods.? See link for distances and cut-off times.? One-drop bag location (50K mile 13.3 &17.7) (50 mile 13.3 & 36.7)
Aid stations only. No stashing fluids on the course.
Pacing (having a non-registered person run with you from AS to AS) is not allowed.

50 mile - 6:00 am start (need light) with a 12-hour cutoff.
