Tuesday Night Washington Park Run

Please join us at Washington Park on Tuesday night for a run! All abilities are welcome and you can run your own pace and length. Like in past meet-ups, there is generally a mixed crowd that attends, so chances are good you'll find someone to run with. We meet-up near the corner of Franklin and Virginia in the parking area of the fire station. We start to run at
6:30 PM. Each lap around the park is 2.6 miles, but that can easily be cut down to less. Some people run one lap, while others run two...some people even show up early and run a pre-lap before their 2 laps. The group tends to have a wide variety of paces ranging everywhere from jack-rabbit's running 6 minute miles to slow and steady 12 minute miler, but whatever your pace, we welcome you out.
Also, since it is dark out when we run you might consider bringing a headlamp or small flashlight. After the run many of us regroup next to the fire station and head to a pub!

Yeah, I suppose only a romanticized perhaps mythical Western archetype will save us all from the cold.

Like any wise mammal, I might have to crawl into a warm cubby hole, instead. Though, alignment of temperature scales is a rare event to behold, even bears like small mice, hibernate for the winter. We can convene to choose a watering hole for those hardy to brave the roads and cold.

Oh no way am I going. The New Year's Resolution was plenty cold for me at +2!

Did you know that -40 degrees is the only temperature where the fahrenheit and celcius scales read the same.

The HIGH Tuesday is 3 degrees. This is where the men are separated from the mice and I am in fact a tiny little mouse. More power to you insane people :)

Jean - it won't be 6 degrees, try -2, feels like -5. So does that mean you're going? ;-)

  • Jean

I might have to skip if it will in fact be 6 degrees

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
