Ugly 16 miles

Be warned! This route will not be the most scenic you have ever run, but it will get the job done.
There are narrow sidewalks, no sidewalks, potholes, busy roads, narrow roads, mud puddles, and maybe some train tracks. Since it will be early Sunday morning, hopefully traffic will be light. The run starts and ends at Patterson Park. The goal pace is in the range of 8:30 to 9:15 min/mile. Bring along water and snacks.
Survivors may want to brunch at the Sip & Bite at 2200 Boston Street.

The general route goes like this: west on Lombard, south on Light St, south on Hanover St – Potee St, west on Patapsco Ave, south on Hollins Ferry, North on Hammonds-Ferry, east on Washington through Pigtown, north on MLK, east on Pratt, and east on Eastern Ave, and finish north on Patterson Park Ave.

The link should take you to a map of the course.

Yes, Rob, I also like the title of this..it made me laugh and I also had to find out more! This is a lower mileage week for me, but I should be up in the range of 16 miles soon..hope you post this ugliness again sometime soon.. :)

Glad you like the idea of an ugly run. I'm trying to build my "library" of running routes. Sunday will determine if it makes it on the shelf or goes in the rubbish heap.

I like the title of your run. I thoght it was a race. I'm doing 16 out in columbia this Sunday also but mine will take me forever with a baby feeding stop in the middle. Sorry I can't join you, have fun.

A baby feeding stop - that means you are also pushing a buggy for 16 miles!?! Hardcore!
