Nittany Valley Half Marathon (overnighter optional)

"I was looking for God during the last mile, but I didn't see him. I guess he finished ahead of me too."
--- Albert Mabus, last male finisher at the 2001 NVHM

It's one of the cheapest halfs, though one of the more challenging ones, in the tri-state area...the Nittany Valley Half Marathon!  At $25--it's a real steal.  I've run this one two years in a row now (in fact, it was my very first half marathon) and it's always been a chilly challenge!

Here are the details and information about registration:

The plan is to drive up on Sunday morning from Maryland, as the race starts at 10 am.  After the race, plan to join your fellow group members for some fun in State College!  If you're looking to stay the night on Sunday after the post-race festivities, members of the group will be staying at the Days Inn State College, which is close the race finish:

Please post in your reply whether you are interested in carpooling and whether you're planning to stay the night.

Sorry, but I have to pull out. Between a couple of knee injuries and whatever bug has settled into my lungs the past couple of days, there's no way I could complete it. Good luck to all.

If anyone is planning on reserving a room, using Expedia to reserve will save you some money!

I am a maybe on this one. I would most likely go up on Saturday night, and come back on Sunday due to work schedule. Should know soon if I am a go or not.
