Encinitas Morning Trail Run - Tuesday

I do this trail run rather regularly so I thought I would post it under the "if you build it they will come" theory. Feel free to join me! This route can be very accommodating distance-wise. I'm suggesting something between 5 and 7 miles (depending on who is running with us) at an average 10-minute pace. Some points in the first mile and a half are very hilly but you could skip this part and rejoin us about 100 yards from the start after we come back down the big hill (15-20 minutes after we head out). Most of this course is on dirt trails with much of it within sight of the Encinitas Ranch Golf Course.

The trailhead where we'll meet is on Quail Hollow Drive just off of Saxony Road (there is no street address for it). The picture is of the trailhead as you approach it (click on it for a larger view).

Here is a link to MotionBased.com where I uploaded the trail from my Garmin Forerunner 305 - it will tell you move about the trail than you'll ever want to know! If you have Google Earth on your PC you can get an awesome view of our trail. If not, then Google Maps will work also.

If this time doesn't work for you let me know and maybe we could do a more convenient time but I'd like to keep it early morning. Please confirm/finalize any 'Maybe' RSVP's the night before so we know whether to wait for you - if you can't make it at the last minute PLEASE call me so you don't leave us hanging! I am notoriously late but will do my best to be on time. Just so you know (like if you don't RSVP but decide to show up anyway), if no one RSVP's 'yes' then I may in the end change my own start time. For those of you with GPS the coordinates (in decimal degrees) of the start point are: Lat = N33.074783 and Long = W117.283017.
