Are you a native/heritage speaker or a learner of Russian? If you are a learner, how long have you been studying?

Off and on. I took a semester in college about 20 yrs ago. I took some lessons/classes in Moscow including at the Pushkin Institute. For some reason, I've never improved. And just forget it about the er and yery- completely unable to pronounce them!

Have you ever been to a Russian-speaking country?

Russia [masked]), Belarus, Azerbaijan, Ukraine.

What are your favorite Russian foods? Books? Music? Artists?

Favorite Russian food- those beet salads with the fish in them. Favorite Russian book- War and Peace. I've read it maybe 4 times, but always in translation. Favorite Russian music- Rachmaninov's Piano Concerti.

My Russian is worse than abysmal, so I thought I should join! Maybe this year, I'll improve. (or maybe not) Privet vse!
