Are you a native/heritage speaker or a learner of Russian? If you are a learner, how long have you been studying?

I'm a native speaker.

Have you ever been to a Russian-speaking country?

Born in Kiev, visited Moscow.

What are your favorite Russian foods? Books? Music? Artists?

I won’t mention borsh to avoid being redundant ☺. I do like pirozhki s myasom i kartoshkoi, galubcy, bliny… One of my favorite writers is Boris Pasternak. I listen mostly to Russian pop music. Among others, Ivan Aivazovsky is my favorite artist.

Introduction

I was born and raised in Ukraine but left my native Kiev in my early teens. My Russian is still fairly good. I'm happy to join the group to meet new people who are as passionate about the Russian language and the culture as myself.
