NASSAU COUNTY INVITED TO “ASK THE CANDIDATES: 2013”:

Free event on Wednesday, October 2 in Albertson

Garden City, NY (Sept. 24, 2013) – The Nassau County Federation of Republican Women (NCFRW) continues its free, public series, “First Wednesdays”, on Wednesday, October 2nd from 7PM-9PM at the VFW, 155 Searingtown Road in Albertson with the exciting, one-on-one, “You Ask The Candidates: 2013 Candidates Forum”. All candidates running on the GOP line throughout Nassau County including all the towns and cities, have been invited to attend. The event is free to the public and includes free refreshments, networking and a child fun table to help give caregivers the opportunity to attend and participate.

Ann Salpeter Schockett, President of the NCFRW, a grassroots and independent Republican organization open to both women and men, said, “Save the date of Wednesday, October 2nd! This is the most exciting opportunity you will find to get up close and personal with our candidates for local offices from County Executive to Town Supervisors to council and judicial candidates. There is NO other political venue in the county that allows a full, open question and answer forum and that gives the public a one-on-one experience before, during and after the forum!” Schockett continued, “Don’t miss this opportunity! Don't let the media make your decisions, ask your questions, advocate for your quality of life issues! Attend this event on Wednesday, October 2nd and decide on the future of our county!”

Candidates attending include those running in the races from Nassau County, Town of Hempstead, Town of North Hempstead, Town of Oyster Bay, City of Glen Cove and City of Long Beach.
