This Apple users group, a non-profit and all-volunteer organization, welcomes Macheads and novices with open arms. Whether you're a certified MacAddict, or considering your first Apple device purchase, there are plenty of long-time experienced users and fellow newbies who would love you to join us for discussions about current and upcoming products and software, including trouble shooting, cost savings and getting the most out of your Appleware. Monthly General Meetings are open to the public and include rumor and insider updates, the Question Can (an annonymous question and answer session), product demonstrations by members and developers, a members-only raffle with multiple prizes and more!
December's General Meeting will feature an informative discussion regarding photography and marketing with Frederick Van Johnson of the "This Week in Photography" blog. Frederick began his career as a Combat Photojournalist in the United States Air Force, where he served for 8 years and was decorated many times for his photography in the field. Frederick’s unit was among the first in the military to receive digital SLR technology, and put it into daily action. He’s currently Senior Marketing Manager at AOL as well as the
CEO of MediaBytes Marketing, LLC., a Social Media Marketing consultancy. He’s well versed in all aspects of traditional marketing as well as next generation Internet marketing practices and has driven marketing for many top names in the Silicon Valley tech scene,
including Apple, Adobe, and Yahoo.
As always, we'll have gourmet coffee and tea, plus sweet treats! The grand prize in this month's member-only raffle is being kept under wraps. Don't forget to stop by the raffle table to pick up your Ace of Diamonds for the Best of Geeky Sacramento Playing Cards deck!
