14th Annual Family History Day

Ever wonder where your parents, grandparents, or even great-grandparents came from but didn't know where to start? Or maybe you've started working on a family tree, but don't know where to go now that you've exhausted the living relatives - or at least those you are on speaking terms with? If so, Family History Day should not be missed!

Family History Day is a FREE event hosted by the California State Archives providing a day of seminars for the budding genealogist. It covers everything from 'Beginning Genealogy' to 'Conducting Original Research' and all sorts of branches in between. In addition, there are tours of the Archives and representatives from many of the Sacramento area genealogy groups. For more information, go see their blog at

It was interesting and provided access to resources that I would otherwise have difficulty gaining access to.
