Sierra Nevada 30th Anniversary

http://www.sierranevada.com/sierra30.html

Come and celebrate this American craft beer renaissance at the Sierra Nevada 30th Anniversary Party in our very own estate-hops field.

The party kicks off at 4 pm with sampling of 30 beers including some of your favorites from the last 30 years, plus a few unique finds from the cellar. Many of these beers never have been, and never will be, released to the public this may be your only chance to sample them! They are available in limited quantities, so arrive early to ensure that you get to taste the ones you are most looking forward to. We will be posting the full beer list in the coming weeks.

The evening will also feature the musical stylings of Roy Rogers & The Delta Rhythm Kings featuring two very special guests! The Joe Craven Trio will kick off the evening's festivities, followed by Houston Jones.

The Sierra Nevada Taproom is catering dinner from 5-8 pm, which costs $15. You can purchase dinner tickets onsite at the event.

* Date: Monday, November 15th
* Time: 4:00 - 9:00 pm
* Place: Sierra Nevada Brewery, 1075 E. 20th St, Chico CA, 95928
* The party will take place in the Sierra Nevada Hop Field.

Tickets are only available online, in the Sierra Nevada Taproom, and the Sierra Nevada Gift Store. Your $30 ticket includes a souvenir tasting glass and 15 beer tickets to sample the beers of your choice.

    Met some really nice knowledgable people. Tasted a lot of good beer and even though it was very crowded and noisy, people were generally friendly and polite. Great time.

    It got packed pretty quickly. The food was mediocre at best. The beers were excellent. Here's what I recall:
    - Hoptimum was my favorite.
    - Barrel aged Life & Limb was pretty good.
    - Grand Cru was a bit harsh on the bitterness.
    - Estate and the Bigfoots were good.
    - Stein Altbier was phenomenal.
    - The Vice and Versa Saisons were excellent. I preferred the Vice.
    - Westnatte Lupulus...I don't remember what I thought.
    - ESB, Pilsner, Stout, Porter...good as usual
    - Knightro dry stout was great.
    - 20th street ale was good...but a bit grassy as I recall.
    - Hopsichord was great, but I thought it was balanced too much towards the malt versus Hoptimum.
    - Belgian Trippel was good, but didn't stand out.
    - Hell Raiser was fun to try, and enjoy in moderation :)
    - SN 30 #3 Jack & Ken's Ale was huge...again, good in moderation. Served too cold :(.

    Virigina, to clarify, I think I responded to your profile directly. It did not allow me to respond directly through email.

    Virigina thanks for the email., I did respond when I got your email about the bus when I got it the next day. I asked if there was still space and didn't hear back. There was no way to directly email you from the email I received. I did not hear back so I assumed there was no more spade.

    Debating on taking the 15th off, staying overnight then driving straight to work morning of 16th or leaving work around 2PM on Monday and taking Tuesday off. Either way I'm in and trying to round up a couple other beer enthusiasts.
