December 2013 Sacramento Speakers Network Meeting

Where: Doubletree Hotel 2001 Point West Way Sacramento, CA 95815

Meeting Fee: $15 for PREPAY ON LINE, $20 AT THE DOOR

Meetup Description: We meet on the first Wednesday each month to discuss the business of speaking and work on ways to help each other find more speaking opportunities. We are open to experienced speakers as well as those just getting started. Our meetings generate a lot of energy and ideas!

We invite attendees to participate and share ideas and challenges since this is how we each find unique value in attending. Also, many of our members are business owners and are finding ways to team up and do business with each other outside of the group. Lots of great networking is happening here!

PLEASE NOTE: This is not a leads group. If your primary objective is to sell something, this isn't the group for you. We are here to help each other grow and prosper!

MEETING AGENDA:

6:30 to 7:00pm: Informal Networking

7:00 to 8:30pm:

*Introductions and Speaking Engagement Announcements

*Guest Speaker: Dr. Maria Nemeth (Back by popular demand! Maria's last presentation to our group drew the largest attendance we've ever had!)

Being Successful Is Easier Than You Think!
Discover why everyone encounters obstacles (or Trouble at the Border) on the road to success. Learn how to turn these obstacles into opportunities for mastery.

Isn’t it true that we often see others being successful, creating a business, launching a program, writing a book, etc., and they seem to make it look so easy? We might think that they are different from everyone else. But they aren’t! They experience the same obstacles, snags, and glitches along the way to success.

Sometimes they face what seem to be insurmountable odds.
So, what makes them successful? They have learned ways to go past inevitable difficulties without losing momentum. They don’t use hurdles and hitches as a reason to stop and give up on their goal or dream. In this presentation, Maria will show you why impediments are a sign that you are doing something right, not something wrong. She will also give you three strategies you can use, to help you go past your personal Trouble at the Border with ease!

Last month was my first time coming into the group, I had so much fun and Kathleen was a hoot. It truly was a wonderful experience. I will not be able to attend this next week. I will be in LA being interviewed on the Orgena Rose Show about my book, "The FITT Solution". I am very blessed that the book promoting has been going great. I am looking forward to the next meeting in January 2014.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
