If you own a business, tell us about it.

My husband and I own Mintz Computer Guyz and have been in business since 2005 here in Sacramento. We provide IT support for small businesses and home offices. We have enjoyed networking and being active in our community.

Have you written any books? List them here!

My book is called, "In Sickness and in Mental Health - Living with and Loving Someone with Mental Illness" It is a love story about a woman with bipolar disorder who falls in love with a man she didn't know had schizoaffective disorder. Together they gain insight into what very few people understand and are able to overcome and live full and successful lives. It is a memoir.

What topics do you speak about?

I will be shifting from speaking about business, to speaking about mental health issues, including recovery from various addictions, recovery from bipolar disorder and how to help someone manage their mental illness. I would also be sharing lessons from our journey on how to have healthy, meaningful relationships, especially how to have an extraordinary marriage.

Please list any awards or special recognition you have received. Don't be shy!

Notable Networker award from Natomas Founders Chapter of BNI (Business Networking International)

Are you interested in speaking at this meetup, if not why?

I am a mental health advocate with a mission to prove that people who have once been very ill can return to health and lead normal and even abundant lives.

Introduction

As a new author & member of several mental health organizations, I am thrilled to be able to speak at high schools, colleges, churches and various organizations about mental illness and recovery. It is my passion to educate & stop stigma.
