The Sumerians are back, and leading us in a ritual celebration of the first harvest, with, all truth be told, perhaps a little closer relevance to our Texas experience of this time of year.
The Son King is Dead, long live the King! Dumuzi's Sacrifice ensures us that life will continue. It is time to prepare for the Darkness. The Sun has come with all its might to scorch the earth. The Focus is now on inward thoughts as the Karmic season begins. Fill your Pantry's with your supplies for the Dark Times. Do you have enough? Will it get you through? Will you have anything to share?
In celebration of the King's Sacrifice please bring a harvest vegetable or fruit (not canned), fresh bread, this is a grain harvest celebration. Come help us celebrate the abundance and prosperity to come from the sacrifice of Dumuzi and a feast item to share.
Always a wonderful experience of both fellowship and energy, bring your drums, something for potluck feast, bug spray, and spare change, oh, and perhaps a change of clothes because we will be enjoying ourselves in revels after, or perhaps as part of, the ritual.
Gather in at 7:00pm and ritual starts at 8:00
