SacRuby.new

Ruby (and development) for beginners!

We'll start the New Year off with some a brief introduction to Test/Behavior Driven Development (using RSpec), then the rest of the session will be a hand's on code exercise to practice Object Oriented Programming using Testing.

Bring your machine with a current Ruby installed. Sample files will set things up with Bundler.

SacRuby.new is definitely geared towards people starting out with Ruby. We're mid-cycle in our exploration, but any time is a good time to dive in.

Drew: absolutely. For the SacRuby.new set of meetings, we go through these topics on something close to a 5-6 month cycle. But in any event, come any time, we try to get some useful hand's on time frequently.

I'd really like to attend, but I'm working 2-11pm tomorrow. I hope you have another session like this in the future!

I want to build a new application/product/market and know I need to learn Ruby to do it. I'm hoping to get some guidance
