The Sacramento Area Skeptics are proud to present a lecture by Glenn Branch on the history and prospects of creationism (intelligent design). The event will be held at the Carmichael Library on Sat., Feb. 20th.

Glenn Branch is the Deputy Director for the National Center For Science Education and is co-editor of the book "Not in Our Classrooms: Why Intelligent Design Is Wrong for Our Schools". Mr. Branch has had several articles published on the teaching of evolution and why creationism/intelligent design shouldn't be promoted in the science class room. His educational background is in philosophy, receiving a Masters of Arts from UCLA.

This will be a great event, feel free to invite friends and family.

    It was very clear that when it comes to knowledge in the area Glenn Branch is at the top. The lecture was fantastic, being both funny and informative. Where his depth in the area really showed was in the question and answer session, he knew names, dates, and events in strong detail that gave great background to every answer. Couldn't have been any better.

    Glenn Branch is one of the best speakers I've heard in several years. His fluency and apparently effortless command of subject areas that ranged from the physical and biological sciences to history was compelling. He had a knowledgeable response to every question thrown at him by a diverse audience.
