269 United International Event

Join us in an international event. Help let everyone know that people are standing together as a political statement in protest to the global animal holocaust! There will be  demonstrations and speakers to promote public awareness. The We All Are 269 Event is taking place all over the world from Berlin, London, New York, Milan, to Sacramento, etc.!

Optional: Real Tattoos of 269 will be done at Bonehead Tattoos,[masked]th street, Sacramento at the end of the event.

Sometimes people just need to know that there IS an animal holocaust going on! Come and be a part of the awareness team!

Teri will be designing crates/cages for anyone wanting to be a part of the demonstration. I'll be locked in the cage and will be taken out and dragged into view by masked people in black clothing.
I'll be (fake) branded and dragged back to the cage. We aren't able to do real branding there due to laws...that would have to be done in an appropriate facility.
I won't be wearing too much, but what I will wear will most likely be very plain and dirty. Probably a white or nude color.
If anyone else wants to be a part of this demonstration, please come forward. :)

Thank you all who came! Thank you Teri Hayner for organizing such an important event! And thanks to angel who put herself in a cage and made a dramatic point how we treat other beings! Thanks to photographer and sound guys and all the work put into our first 269 event!!! Love you all who walk the talk and really do care what happens to sentient beings! Some where there in spirit and we appreciate that too!!! Go our compassionate friends; you are leading the path of love and compassion! I so love you all!!!

I am glad to meet so many people with the same view as my self.

Was nice to see a decent turnout. I could have participated more if I wasn't fighting a migraine, but I was glad I made it. Maybe a weekend event would get more people there to support. Too bad no news crews cared to document!

It was good that school students whom toured the capitol were around to hear the message during lunch of why to be vegan on the West Capitol Steps. Some Asian tourists were interested to ask "practice their English", and one whom was taking pictures in curiosity even took the flier "Why Vegan" with the calf's picture on it from me. He said he didn't know much English, but he indicated he had heard and seen the word "vegan" before. Hopefully indeed vegan has become an "internationally recognized" word

Why do we think, as humans, that is acceptable to harm animals for greed or profit? I am especially sad about the fur industry. thank God it's changing and more people who sell fur are STOPPING. Please see recent success story or article on The Humane Society of the U.S. I love foxes, raccoon dogs and will be so thankful when China and other countries are disallowed and completely STOP ALL FUR FARMS. THESE PRECIOUS BEAUTIFUL WILD ANIMALS SUFFER AND IT ISN'T FAIR!!! Dixie

  • Alicia F.

Hi my husband and I will be attending. Can we make signs to bring?

    March 5, 2013

    • Teri H.

Yes, i listed some examples just now for what signs could say

Just think of the billions of land and water animals who suffer! Now, we have a global opportunity to tell the world that humans are standing together and that we will not be indifferent to the plight of the voiceless beings who suffer immensely and land up on human dinner tables. Sacramento...help be a huge voice for all who suffer so much and have no say and no way to escape their miserable existence.

Hey, I just grabbed the graphic on the FB page for the 269life which is about this world wide demo and it is a great graphic. Maybe we can just have this printed on t-shirts? I am going to ask my contact how much it would cost. But let me know if you guys already have this covered.

    March 5, 2013

    • Angel

That is awesome! As far as I know, there hasn't been any plans for shirts, so that is awesome!

      March 5, 2013

    • Teri H.

No plan for shirts so let me know what you come up with. I am making patches for the event.

      March 5, 2013

  • Teri H.

Banners can say "we are all 269" or "fear is fear, blood is blood, suffering is suffering" or "we died for your sins (include a cow, chicken, or any animal to it as well)

I am the organizer for the Sacramento 269life event at the capitol. Any questions please ask me :).

    1 · March 5, 2013

  • Linda M.

Yes, bring signs, with free the animals, stop animal slavery, stop hurting animals, etc. Whatever you like along those lines! And if you have any farm or wild animal costume, please wear that too. We need to let the world know that this animal confinement, slaughter, and torture is not OK with us!!

Are there going to be any other demonstrators with signs etc? or just the crate thing? I would love to go and have a sign if you guys are going to have signs. Or T-shirts. I may think about designing some sort of t-shirt. Anyone have any ideas they might want on a t-shirt? I think I have a source where we could get them printed for a reasonable price. I can check into it. Let me know.

Hi all, Teri is in charge so let me gather details from her! I am one of the speakers and I am wearing a 6 inch paper cut out which says 269 and will paste on my flat earring! I may get a tiny tattoo at Teri's place of 269 after event!
