We are NOT are not meeting physically but start ONLINE Tues. July 1. Weigh yourself on the Tues. July 1st and and the the last day on July 31st and send this to me via email.. YOU can weigh in each week if this helps you stay on track. If extra weight is not an issue for you, no need to do weight measurements at all. If you do not need weight loss, you will not lose weight, your body will just get healthier.
I know some of you struggle with your food choices, even if you are already vegan! This is not a program for people who want to eat either the standard American diet or a cheese/egg diet, a fish diet or vegan diet with added oils. For thirty days, this diet is strictly vegan and healthy, with no oils added. If you do not have the cook/info book: buy this book, THE STARCH SOLUTION by Dr. John McDougall, read it. Use recipes...!! And if you have diabetes get this book: Reversing Diabetes Program by Dr. Neal Barnard. And, if you have heart disease, buy this book: Reversing Heart Disease by Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn.
This is is usually limited to 10 people and there is a total fee of $20. payable up front. We will meet at Sacramento Natural Foods coop on Mon. June 30th at 7:20 pm. You can pay me when we meet there for a store tour. my ph[masked]-5516.
1. Food shopping in person tour/kick off is 7:20 pm, Monday June 30th, at Sacramento Natural Foods Market at front tables inside store.... ACTUAL START date is Tuesday, July 1, 2014.
2. Your daily food intake will be monitored and emailed to me daily! [masked]
3. You will weigh yourself at the beginning on July 1, then at the end. Optional: Weigh weekly and send results to me.
4. Group discussions, and support throughout the month. IF you have Facebook, join our 30 Day Vegan Health Watch site.
Please know that if you do not have a recent blood test, it would be great if you get a new one before we start! (if possible and optional) so we know your cholesterol levels and triglyceride levels. If you have any pre health conditions like high blood pressure or diabetes, you need to inform your own doctor that you are beginning a low fat, no added oil, whole foods, plant based program before we begin. (p.s. Tell your doctor to do it with you and buy her or him a book too!)If you have Diabetes, purchase this book as well: Reversing Diabetes Program by Dr. Neal Barnard.
