Solar Cooking Workshop in the Park

We will be  in the park near the carrousel.  Look for the solar cooker.

Solar cooking is the simplest, safest, most convenient way to cook food without consuming fuels or heating up the kitchen.

Learn how to get the heat out of the kitchen and have fun cooking with the sun! Ilsa "The Nacheez Lady" will show you how easy it is to use a solar cooker.

Foods cooked in solar cookers cook in their own juices, so oil is never needed to make delicious meals. Using a solar cooker is an easy and fun way to eat all those veggies and grains.

Solar cookers will be on display. Depending on weather conditions, solar cooked veggies will be offered to taste.
