I believe a plant-based diet which excludes meat, dairy and eggs is ultimately the most healthful and ethical way for humans to eat. If there was ever any question about the benefits of a plant-based diet, the China Study and what I learned while earning a plant-based nutrition certificate through eCornell made it abundantly clear, through scientific research, that it is the way to go.
As a classically trained chef (heavy use of animal-based products and refined fats), I continue to evolve my cooking techniques with whole food plant-based ingredients, especially with regard to baking and sauces. Retaining culture through food is also important to me, so I work to adjust traditional recipes to accommodate a more healthy life. There is always more to learn!

My name is Andrea Seppinni and I'm a plant-based chef and cooking instructor. I love creating delicious, satisfying, health supportive meals for family, friends, patients and students. It's equally rewarding to teach others to do this for themselves.
I am new to The Sacramento Vegan Society, and this was my first event. I and my guests really enjoyed it; everyone was welcoming and friendly!
