I am interested in befriending and networking with other Sacramento vegans, most especially in the Midtown area, since I love my yellow bicycle.
I have been a vegetarian since the age of 16, when my vegan older sister convinced me to watch Meet Your Meat. I could never return to the land of flesh again, and years later was able to ween myself from the "nip" as well. In 2009 I received a Natural Chef Certificate from Bauman College in Penngrove, Ca, with the intentions of one day owning a vegan restaurant. Today I am a vegan personal chef for a family in Sacramento, as well as a vegan food blogger at The Bear and The Blackberry. I am currently fascinated with raw foodism, and am willing to follow my passions to see where they will lead. My dreams still concern tasty vegan food, but have evolved to include social equality as well. In my future, I would like to cocreate a true worker owned and operated vegan food business, and I am currently seeking like minded souls on a similar path.
My interests include but are not limited to: vegan cooking/uncooking, blogging, photography, watercoloring, collaging, the correlation between what we eat and how we live and our mental and emotional state, pondering life and philosophy, social equality, reversing the great American cultural brainwashing, mystical things, sustainability, karezza, yoga, exercise and all of it's endorphins, seeing the town on my yellow bicycle, gardening and raising plant life, spiritual evolution, love, laughter, and healing.
Hey everyone, I'm Alison! I'm a moral vegan who lives with my amazing vegan boyfriend Jef and our adorable vegan cat Lucy in Midtown. My day job as a barista gives me plenty of time to explore my passion... cooking tasty healthy vegan food!
