Hi Legal Meg,

I appreciate that as a member of the PC Police you have volunteered to hover over my shoulder encouraging my creativity and making sure that while I try to do something to relieve some of the suffering of some of the tortured animals that I do not slip into the heinous and egregious arena of perhaps offending someone.

I truly do not know what I have ever done to deserve such an honor, but while I try to figure that out, I would like to see your credentials.  Most of the professors who I pay lots of money to to lecture me are very well credentialed.  Yet none of them have the foresight to admonish or chastise me for something the think I might do sometime in the future.  Yes, that is an attribute rarely seen in educated people.

I have looked over what I have said and find myself unworthy of the honor with which you grace me.  If I were a lesser man, I might actually find your intrusion, er advice offensive.

Thank you anyway, but I don't believe I deserve, need, or desire you services.  My job is already stressful and tough enough, I choose not to tip-toe around your imagination.

Enjoy your day,
irni

If you go with that, please, please don't talk about "man" and "his" will unless you are phrasing this from a feminist perspective.  This type of language is offensive, and discounts the value of the female gender.  In terms of substance, I think that it is ironic that we should manifest our superiority via conquest, domination and violence.  These attributes are rarely seen as ideal to educated people.

Thanks for your response Jesse, yes, that idea is wide open and easy to play with.  Yeah, "might makes right" is a too common philosophy, frequently applied at one's convenience.

Enjoy your day,

It would be interesting to hear a response regarding the common argument of "Mankind has earned his superiority over the rest of the planet and has the right to do whatever he deems fit to better his own existence" from the chimps view

Hi everyone,

I am taking a script writing class at Sac State.  I'm working on a short (c. 5-7 minutes) that I hope to actually put into production either next semester or the following one.
I've created a situation where I have a lab tech in a primate testing facility in a position where s/he is in dialog with the chimps s/he's been experimenting on.

I am looking for help with talking points, point of view arguments from both sides of this debate.

I'm also looking for actual footage sources.

Please email me at: [address removed] with any help you care to offer.

Thanks,
Irni
