Items & Supplies Needed for Vegan Picnic

Hi, Friends!
Things that we are in need of for the picnic on Saturday:  please email if you are able to bring/ donate any items from the list:

  • Blankets for grass (for children's story time, etc.)
  • Traffic cones (to use for games/ boundaries)
  • volleyball net & balls
  • Badminton sets
  • soccer balls/ playground balls
  • hula hoops
  • frisbees
  • parachute (colorful kind, for games w/ kids)
  • pop-up canopies (for vendors, activity tables, etc.)
  • water balloons (& filled!)
  • ties for 3-legged race (can be strips of old sheets, etc.)
  • LOTS OF PEOPLE to come and participate!!! (friends, family, etc.!)

Thank you so much!  We are really looking forward to this event.  Starts at 11 a.m. on Sat., goes until 4 p.m.  **You may bring your own lawn chairs/ picnic blankets/ outdoor games/ equipment, too!
Lots of great speakers recently added: Kayle Martin, cancer survivor; Toni Okamoto for Animal Place/ Plant-Based on a Budget; Katie Cantrell of Factory Farmed Animals Coalition; and of course Jack Norris, RD and founder of Vegan Outreach, and Michael Budkie speaking on behalf of primates.  Also, Julie Serences on behalf of bee populations.
Music by Zane Miller & friends
Plus, demos by Ilsa Hess (solar cooking AND Nacheez, of course!)
Brooke from Green Boheme will be demoing for kiddos.
Sarah Kesty, children's book author & Red Rover teacher will be there.
...and YOGA with Yoga Seed + Joyce Paolini
You may bring your own picnic lunch, or purchase food on-site.
Food vendors: Green Boheme & Capitol Garage, plus baked goods from Pushkin's and the Plum.
