Which time works better for you?

In an effort to make the meetups work for as many people as possible, we'd like to know what startup time works best for you. Our current time is 6:30, but we can go earlier or later if that works better for the majority of the people. Your vote will help decide if our startup time changes. Please keep in mind that the later start times may shorten presentations or cause us to find new locations that can work with the later hours. How long ago did you stop using floppies?

I read this story on Yahoo! tonight (http://news.yahoo.com/s/zd/20100426/tc_zd/250362) and it got me thinking. Dell and HP stopped including them by default a LONG time ago, began charging extra to have them almost as long ago, and finally eliminated them from their product lines a couple of years ago. I can't remember when I saw a Mac with one, either. So, when did you stop using them? Do you even have any?

Will the iPad and other mobile devices lack of support for Flash change how you develop?

The recent release of the iPad has some predicting the end of Flash. The releases of information on the new HTML 5 standard lends fuel to this fire. Will these recent events change how you develop now or in the future?

What Languages Do You Use?

What languages do you use to create your websites? Are you a whiz at HTML and CSS? Still coding VBScript on Classic ASP pages? PHP Guru? Perl Wizard? Master of JavaScript? Tell us what languages you use and we'll see how diverse we are and maybe set up some groups to help each other.

What browsers and platforms do you test your web applications for?

As web developers, we are all responsible for producing quality web applications that are expected to "just work" by our clients. Part of that quality is (or should be) browser testing. Yes, it's tedious and often frustrating, but the real question is, do you do it, and what browsers/platforms do you test? Post any comments you have about your testing on the message board (http://webdesign.meetup.com/17/messages/boards/thread/8827326/#34708223).
