Please read our "about us" before answering any questions. Q1: Who, what, and how *exactly* caused you to first find out about this group? (If someone asked you to join, give names.)

Some players need rides. Roughly, where do you live? Where did you grow up?

Kensington MD. Grew up in Ohio.

Once in a while we meet after soccer. Do you have a nearby restaurant you like? What's your favorite food?

Kensington Pizza and Kabob House

What else do you do for work and/or play?

So far, we’re unique. The foam balls sold in stores are too small for real soccer. But things could change. Excluding us, do you know of any other games, past or present, with adults using a foam ball (kid’s or full size) for soccer?

The best email for most (not all!) people to reach me at is jasontaylor at rcn dot com.

What Jason Arthur T. is saying about this Meetup Group

This is note ex-member Jake was kind enough to send via email. You'll see him again on visits to dc. It's close enough to a review so here goes. "I was planning on writing a message on the group wall but I didn't have time today. … Anyway, I actually really enjoyed Safer Soccer and I will be looking for a new pick up game in Philadelphia after I get settled in. I felt that the friendly competition, which reminded me of the social environment I had during college intramural soccer, made Safer Soccer incredibly rewarding. The people I met there were friendly and talented. Even the really good players were just trying to have a great time. Although I disliked the different kind of soccer ball at first, eventually I grew fond of it. And I can't deny the fact that after all those times I kicked it directly into someone's face, they were unharmed. Thanks for putting together a fantastic recreational group, Jason."
