Book and Media Club: discussion

This month with the help of Mandy we take a fresh approach to our ongoing examination of the meaning of morality.

She will lead us in a discussion of a children’s book on the topic: How to Behave and Why, by Munro Leaf.  Since everybody is very concerned that children should be brought up to behave morally, it’s revealing to see what we teach them on the subject.

Also, preparing a topic for presentation to a child necessitates stripping it down to its essentials.  I believe this is a clever way of getting to the heart of the topic quickly. Kudos to Mandy for thinking of it!

The book is readily available on Amazon:

The customer reviews are glowing and very interesting to read.

Sorry I got this scheduled so late, but the book is a very quick read.

Okay, I can do this. The classic children's book How To Behave And Why by Munro Leaf. Honest, Fair, Strong, Wise: are these really all the traits a kid needs to behave? I also want to discuss when it's a good idea to NOT behave...

That’s a great idea, Mandy. I like it!But let’s make that one April, because we really left things up in the air this month, and we need to nail down the concepts discussed.
