6:00 PM Meeting
6:30 PM Cast off

We will meet at the dock at 6:00 PM and cast off at 6:30 PM.  As a courtesy to your fellow sailors, please be prompt. We will have you back at the dock around 11:00 PM.  This is a sail for the beginner, as well as, the experienced.  You may participate as much, or as little as you like.  If you want to be a deck lizard, no worries.  If you want to take a turn at the helm, speak up.

Come see the fireworks on the water!

Your slot on the boat is not reserved until payment is received.  This Sunset/Moonlight Sail is $57 per person via Paypal. http://www.sail-la-vie.org/saillavie/Welcome.html .  Or, $55 if you come by our SLV meeting at Stag's Head Pub the Wednesday prior.  For a Friday Night Fireworks Sail, it is a bargain at twice the price! The deadline to sign up is 9 PM Wednesday prior to the sail.

What to bring - Dress  for the weather.  Remember, temperatures are always 5-10 degree cooler on the water.  Bring a bag with a few extra layers which can be easily added, or removed.  Please wear "non-marking" shoes - no high heels, no hard soled, or black rubber soled shoes.  And please ladies, no high heeled shoes.

Food - Feel free to bring along snacks.  There's no need for a meal.  Cheese and crackers, fruit tray, brownies, and cookies are all great items.  Bring items which can be shared among the crew.

Drinks - bring plenty to drink, you don't want to get dehydrated.  Beer, wine, or your favorite beverage is OK.  We try to avoid red wine, it stains the white fiberglass.  However, if you feel you can't sail without a Pinot Noir, bring a travel mug or sippy cup.

After the sail, please hang around for a few minutes to unload the boat, strainghten up a bit and secure the boat.

This sail is weather permitting.  In case of cancellation due to inclement weather, all paid sailors will receive a credit for a future sail.  All sailor cancellations must be made by mid-night the Wednesday prior to the sail.

If you sign up for a spot on the boat and cancel after the Wednesday night of that week's sail, you are still required to pay. If you cannot sail, please let the rear commodore know so that he can call someone on the wait list to take your spot, [masked] .

Hi, I just signed up for this group and I'm quite excited about learning how to sail. Are there membership fees to be an SLV member or are we automatically a member by signing up for this meet up?
