When was the first time you sailed, and who introduced you to sailing? What is you skill level; newbie, novice, intermediate, expert?

I first got the sailing bug when I was 15 on a lake in Maine. I was fascinated by the way the sail captured the wind and moved the boat whichever way we aimed. As I grew, I grew into larger boats. I am capable on a boat and have sailed extensively in Southern New England, Floridia Gulf Coast and a few weeks in the Mediterranean.

When was the last time you sailed? Tell us a little about it.

Before moving to Houston, I sailed out of Naples Florida with a friend on a very leisurely sail. It was a 55 Benatau which could put up a lot of sail. Alas, there wasn't much wind that day and we sailed under very light winds.

Are you more interested in leisure or training sails? Sunset/moonlight sails, fireworks sails, overnight sails?

I'm interested in all types of sailing. Mostly I enjoy trimming the sails and adjusting for the wind.

What are your sailing goals? Improving your sailing skills? Or, being a deck lizard?

I would very much like to improve my sailing skills and learn more about the waters off Texas.

What days are best to sail; Saturdays, Sundays, holidays? How often would you like to sail; weekly, monthly, a few times a year?

Saturdays and Sundays are easiest days for me to sail. I hope to join the group at least twice a month, weather and time permitting.
