Introduction
I have been taking pictures a long time, however, my topside pictures have fallen off over the years and I'd like to start taking more pictures topside so I'm not so one dimensional!
Are you a Professional, Semi-Pro, Amateur, or Beginning photographer?
I would call myself an amateur. I started on a Pentax K1000 (which I still have) and have taught myself mostly. I now have a Olympus PEN PL-2 3/4 mirrorless system with inderwater housing and strobe. As I like to scuba dive, I thought I would just take underwater pictures. I would like to take pictures topside too and would enjoy learning more tips and techniques from others more skilled than I.
What are you looking to contribute and or learn from the group?
I think I have a good underwater eye and a good basic background. I am using Lightroom and would enjoy learning more about it. I could benefit from critique and am eager to learn from others on "topside" techniques. My dad was a professional photographer so I grew up smelling orbit bath and being in a darkroom. About 20 years
What is your favorite type of shooting (Landscapes, Macro, People, Events, Family...etc)?
Underwater and macro nature shots mostly. I also like black and white. I want to do a project in black and white that involves portraits so would like to learn more about those techniques.
