I have been taking pictures a long time, however, my topside pictures have fallen off over the years and I'd like to start taking more pictures topside so I'm not so one dimensional!
I would call myself an amateur. I started on a Pentax K1000 (which I still have) and have taught myself mostly. I now have a Olympus PEN PL-2 3/4 mirrorless system with inderwater housing and strobe. As I like to scuba dive, I thought I would just take underwater pictures. I would like to take pictures topside too and would enjoy learning more tips and techniques from others more skilled than I.
I think I have a good underwater eye and a good basic background. I am using Lightroom and would enjoy learning more about it. I could benefit from critique and am eager to learn from others on "topside" techniques. My dad was a professional photographer so I grew up smelling orbit bath and being in a darkroom. My pictures are at: bastetphotos@smugmug.com.
About 20 years
Underwater and macro nature shots mostly. I also like black and white. I want to do a project in black and white that involves portraits so would like to learn more about those techniques.
