Drinking Skeptically

Join Salt City Skeptics for Drinking Skeptically at Fiddlers Elbow (1063 East 2100 South, Salt Lake City —[masked]). No agenda ... just getting acquainted, catching up, and carrying on multiple conversations at once. That may sound like utter confusion, but in fact it's fun that way.

Dear Billie and anyone else who cares,

We are nothing of the sort. Salt City Skeptics eschews fancy and dogma, and seeks evidence-based claims in their place. In my experience, that's rather antithetical to religion.

Since everyone is absolutely welcome, I cannot guarantee that you won't end up seated next to a practicing Christian, Mormon or other, though it is not terribly likely. (I can, however, pretty much guarantee a believer a seat next to a non. Though we strive for courtesy, I advise believers to wear ruffle-resistant feathers.)

I'd love a look at the comments you alluded to should you have a moment to forward them. If you wish to be removed from the list, please visit your MeetUp profile and click "leave group."

I haven't made it to my first meetup with this group but I read the comments on here so went back through comments on other meetups you've had. I don't get where the idea came from that this is a "Christian" or "Mormon" group. It seems a bit odd.

The claim took me by surprise. I am skeptical of it ...
