Do you self-identify as a "skeptic?" If so, how did you come to see yourself as one?

I identify myself as someone who will need a peer reviewed article to back that up, please. I am an "ethnic" Jew, who has been "passing" against my will (and within my hearing). The worst of both worlds. I have learned that most people cannot hold two thoughts in their head simultaneously, and will blame you if they get confused. I am an atheist, because I've never known any other way of thinking. As a child I decided that if Judas was a necessary actor in carrying out G-d's plan, and then G-d sent him to the lowest ring of hell, G-d was a prick.

We just moved from CA. I'm 50, taught high school, practiced law, and worked with dogs. I am on disability, so retired. We have a French Bulldog, Violet, around whom the world revolves (or so she has been led to believe). If absent, I have a headache
