Dear Skeptic Friends:
I am passing along to you this note I received from the Colorado Secular Conference.
I would like to personally invite you and Salt City Skeptics members to participate in the inaugural Colorado Secular Conference located in Grand Junction on July 21st. This conference is sponsored by the Colorado Coalition of Reason and funding making the conference possible is being provided by the United Coalition of Reason. Admission is free. We also invite you to join us on an optional tour of the awe-inspiring Colorado National Monument and for some wine tasting the day after the conference. Our goal is to allow secular/nonreligious people from around the region to meet one another, share ideas, and to learn from several different speakers on a variety of topics. There will also be a free three hour seminar/workshop offered that focuses on building and growing secular groups. The conference will be a golden opportunity for secularists, Humanists, atheists, agnostics, freethinkers and others to come together. It is also a chance for members of the community to come and learn about the secular movement, its supporters, and to also learn about important issues that affect us all like the Patriot Act.
For more information, please visit the Colorado Secular Conference webpage at the following address:
We would be happy to answer any questions you might have. Seating is limited, so we encourage early reservation online to reserve any desired seats for your group’s members at the conference and for the optional tour. We ask that you please notify us of any cancellations so that we can free up seats for others to attend. If your group plans to participate, please let us know so that we can include your group on our list of participating groups. We are very willing to add a link to your website as well.
We look forward to hearing from you and would greatly appreciate it if you could the conference's website with your members.
