Thanks Tom for the information, I personally find this very useful. :)  I hope others do too. Maybe we'll make "The Heart of Altruism" August's book. There are so many good books to choose from though.

What I think is interesting about Kristen Monroe's findings is that they conform what a number of people at the last meeting said about being ethical because to do otherwise would lessen their connection with others.


If people want a more general discussion about altruism, I could also give links to a number of other articles, such as the one that showed that even infants can behave altruistically.  ( )
